Kenneth Bamberg

These photographs were made during 2005 – 2006. They show old porn theatres across Europe, from Madrid in the south to Helsinki in the north. All are photographed on film with exposure times ranging from a few minutes to a couple of hours.
The light illuminating the large format film comes from the movies playing in the theatres. The images of the chairs are shot just after clients have used them.
